Team Magic E4 Hybrid Set Up for Drifting Empty
PostSubject: Team Magic E4 Hybrid Set Up for Drifting   Team Magic E4 Hybrid Set Up for Drifting EmptyThu Nov 04, 2010 12:44 am

Well This is my Team Magic (Standard LiL Exotic Touring Car Chassis)

Internal Power Plant:
LRP X12 13.5 Spec Motor
Tekin RS Pro (Tekin RS is sufficient for it also, why tekin ESC they are the smallest ones around)
Futaba S9551 Servo (Slim Profile and fast)
SR3500 Spektrum Receiver
Ace 4000mAh 25C Lipos which are handeling the abuse.

Things I had to do to make it drift:
Rear Camber -2 degrees
Front Camber -1 degrees
Locked Read Diff (I can drift on large track with reg rear diff)
The Rest was Suspension work Soft front Medium Rear
HPI Type A Drift Tires
Caster -6 (Not for every one But i love lots of steering and this takes away some steering and keep my control in the turn)

Things I changed because I wanted the car to do more:
64 to 48 pitch gears (Seems like every one was carrying 48 pitch more over 64, accessability)
Button Chassis from a FS setup and Thin Top deck from a RS Chassis. (Took Flex Out since i had too much and that caused too much grip especially in a turn)
Using the Dual Steering setup from their prototype but also used on the first Gen E4 RS (Its slower but more precise and has more throw and i can OverSteer and Cause understeer)
Dremeled some small place here and there so i can fit standard Orion Race packs, Ace 4000 30C race packs and now i Decided to use some Low end 4000 25C.

Now Keep in mind this set up may not work for everyone. This Chassis can Drift and handle Decent on an oval and a race track.
Also if you add all this stuff up it comes up into the 1000s, but dont worry no you dont have to spend this much to drift but its possible.
Pretty much this entire car was bought used in bits n pieces, The only thing new on this thing is the Sensor cable, Spur and Pinion Batteries.
