| Blunten gave me a Turnigy 4500mah 3s Life battery for review. I finally got to playing with a bit last nite. These batts are suppose to be as safe as A123's and behave like A123's. The safe part was tested by a member of RCM. He used a hammer to see if it would explode upon impakt. Nothing happed. I used my Rustler once again for the ampdraw that most will see in their cars. This was just a short 3 minute run as I was attacked my killer mosquito's. I'll do some more runs and keep updating this post. Voltage was steady underload and didn't dip too much. I peaked at 140A@8.25V which is not bad at all. At a short continuous run Voltage stayed at 8.55V @ ~90A. Power wires on the pack is 10AWG. Gearing used was 58/25 (32P/mod. . MMpro CMaxx 14.4 Hacker Timing 5 degrees Start power High No voltage cutoff | |

| I'll do that when I get my FLM arms in. Or I can stick it in the GTP with the Plettenberg. But that still needs a body painted.... | |

| I'm going to run them at 2V cutoff just like the A123's and see they will poof. I also want to charge like lipo's and see what happens. The A123's can be charged at a max of 4.2V. | |

| Update on my usage.
I let the 3s2p pack sit fully charged for two weeks. Use it and recharged again. Used about half capacity and let it sit in the hot garage for a week. Charged it and used it again. This is the exact same manner I treat my A123 LiFe cells. Results are that the outer cells swelled up a bit and won't go down now. It did happen before during my son usage, but the cells went down.
My verdict: These Turnigy cells are ok if you treat them right. They are not even close to the true LiFe A123 cells quality and durability. Power delivery is not the same as A123's either. __________________ | |

| I decided to take the cells apart and see how damaged they really are. Man, all cells were swollen. I ended up ditching the pack. | |

| So is the verdict still the same? Or are they turds for high amp apps? Sounds like turds to me you got what maybe 7-10 runs out of them. | |
