| Team Durango DESC410R 4X4 Short Course Truck The DESC410R from Team Durango is a truly race-bred 4WD Short Course truck. We have taken the fastest elements from our ground-breaking DEX410 buggy, added some new trick designs and components, and created the most race-focused SC truck available New FAT Big Bore Shocks The Big Bore shocks, which come as standard on the DESC410R, are not just big, they are FAT! These bad boys will keep your truck feeling glued to the track and, when you’re landing hard and heavy off monster jumps, they’ll absorb all the energy, all the power, all the punishment you can give them, time and time again. Designed specifically for 550 Size Motors 4WD SC racing is taking electric racing to a new level. These trucks have to be tough, strong and hard to survive. They need lots of power to get rolling and lots of power to stop. The DESC410R has been designed around 550 sized brushless motors. 4WD Short Course racing needs 550 motors – 540 just doesn’t cut it any more. We have designed our truck so that the longer 550 motor sits with perfect weight balance in the super-tough chassis. New 2.5mm Super Strong Chassis Short Course racing trucks need beefed-up chassis. The chassis on the DESC410R is a 2.5mm thick aluminium plate strengthened with 2.0mm thick aluminium side rails. Sandwiched between the aluminium are three-part composite side-rail walls. The combination of precise design and high-quality materials means that the torsional strength of the DESC410R is second to none. New Convertible Slipper/ Oil Filled Differential Because so much power and torque from the 550 motors is being delivered to the Team Durango race-winning, shaft-driven, geared-diff drivetrain, our designers have created a slipper clutch which can be transformed into an oil-filled differential. Simply by removing the centre diff locker nut and adding diff gears (available separately), you can control how power is delivered to the drivetrain by fine-tuning the slipper clutch and centre diff. | Hmmm interesting. I like the way the wheel hexes are captured by the pin and how the servo saver is easily adjustable. However, the driveshaft angle going in to the diff case is kinda steep. I'm curious to see how this thing does. This is the company Brian Kinwald is driving for now. | |

| Oh BrownBioSubstance, I did some googleing and found more pics of this thing. The battery location is GOOFY!!! It runs 2 small packs in the front half of the chassis below the drive shaft. Strange design | |

| I saw that pic too, but it looks like the project 3D models and would hope something was already done about that. It looks like the chassis would handle 2x 2cells put lengthwise in the space which would make sense. Cause the first thing I would imagine hearing from people is: "You mean I have to buy different batteries too!?!? WTF!" | |

| Personally I like the layout alot. The thing that interest me the most is the center diff option. Would I buy one? No not really. I laughed when it said that the 540 motors don't cut it no more. I guessing they never really tried a quality 540 motor . The roar 550 motors don't have that much torque in the first place. A real 550 motor would give the drivetrain a serious workout. | |

| I don't see the big deal really. Good nitro motors cost more. | |

| I think they went with a 550 not b/c of power but weight.
The way the battery is sitting in the back, and if they only use a small 540 hat car is going to be real A$$ heavy and you cant control the flight. So a longer 550 motor would make sense.
Power wise i think a 540 can do just fine in that thing after specs that thing is light as hell.

| Screw the 540 and 550 motors. Mark and Romano just need to bolt in the BIG-horsebehind Castle 1717 motor and take care of some bidness!!! LOL | |

| How you know wes ? you never ordered from any of these guys O.o These are all the ditributors, I called the closest one up. And guess what most of them dont even stock these cars. They can just order them for you. But online wise you can pretty much get them straight from UTAH the US distributor. http://www.team-durango.com/hrp-dealers/

| Nice looking ride. I like that servo saver, it would be perfect for my GT with the MIP steering kit. | |
