To save some people the headache.

ESC that The local hobby store can help you out with.
All Castle Creation ESC they can reprogram and help you out with.

All series of the FUSE they can pretty much figure out and reprogram with a card.

Tekins are great ESC and Drivers outside and the store can support it

Both of these they carry Great warranty policies.

ESCs that you might ask around but most of us can help you with
SPEED PASSION GT series
EZrun but for gawd sake dont get the 35A version and expect it to go fast !
ORIONS
NOVAK

These are the main ESCs that are being ran out there and if you have issues with them most of us can trouble shoot it.

So what ESC are you advising people to get?
Or are you just letting people know that the ESC's listed can be programed by people at the shop.
I don't understand....brain is kinda slow today confused

Don't forget about Mark that can hook you up with a cap bank for your ESC for those wanting more out of their ESC's.

Its some of the ESC that people can help out with around here.
And people have programming cards for them in store or on track.

I have seen some people come in the shop alot lately with some random ass things that they need to reprogram.
b/c they are over heating due to overtiming the motor to the moon. So this is just something that is comonly used here locally.

Ah timing issues.

Delta wound motors don't see any improvement with any timing advance.
Wye wound motors do see an increase in power with timing advance.

2 Pole motors are good with 0-5 degrees of timing. 10 degrees max. Also know as low to medium timing.
4 Pole motors are good with 10 degrees and up of timing. Also known as high timing.

Switching frequency on some ESC's must also be increased with 4 pole and up motors.

Low kv motors see alot of improvement in power with timing advance. But it's best to do it with gearing first and then use timing to tweak it a bit.

An increase in startup power is also recommended with taller gearing with most ESC's.
