Want to unlock iPhone 4 on iOS 5 with Gevey ULTRA SIM UNTETHERED ?Well, if you are going to update your iPhone 4 to stock iOS 5 firmware you will render your unlock and your Gevey ULTRA SIM useless. To unlock your iPhone 4 on iOS 5 with Gevey ULTRA SIM you MUST update your iPhone 4 to Custom Firmware which preserves the unlockable basebands that are compatible with Gevey ULTRA SIM. Also you should do this procedure from FW 4.3.3 or 4.3.5 or lower.

Here is the basic run down of the procedure:You have to restore iPhone 4 with a custom iOS 5 ipsw that has an unlock-able baseband (BB)
Redsn0w 0.9.9b5 (or above) is the program used to create your custom ispw that has no baseband upgrade.
Then unlock iPhone 4 on iOS 5 with Gevey UTLRA SIM. MANUAL MODE.

How to update iPhone 4 to iOS 5 without updating Baseband - Redsn0w 0.9.95 :Step 1: Connect your iDevice with your PC via USB and open Redns0w you just downloaded above.
Step 2: Start Redsn0w, press on "Extras" > "Custom IPSW" and then point Redns0w to iOS 5 ipsw firmware that you downloaded above.
Now Redsn0w will start cooking your custom iOS 5 ipsw firmware
Step 3: Click on "Pwned DFU"
Step 4: Now make sure your device is both OFF and PLUGGED IN to the computer before you click “Next”. (It is advisable to have a AT&T or orig Carrier locked sim already inserted at this point)
At this stage you will be presented with a screen where you will be guided on how to enter DFU mode. Quickly hold “Power” button and then while holding the “Power” button, you will now have to hold “Home” button too. Now after few seconds release “Power” button but keep holding “Home” button until installation begins.
Step 5: Open iTunes 10.5 then Restore your iPhone 4 to the Custom iOS 5 ipsw (the file name begins with NO_BB).
Step 6: Once your device is up have it activate with the AT&T or Locked Carrier sim if needed
Congratulations, Now you can unlock iPhone 4 on iOS 5 with Gevey ULTRA Sim:
-Turn Phone Off
-Insert Gevey ULTRA sim with your Carriers Sim into your phone
-Turn your phone on
-Wait until it shows “no service”
-Go into "settings" > "Phone" > "Sim Application" Below SIM PIN
Press on English or Any Language that you can read
-Accept the message > Exit or Back
-Wait 15 sec
-Then dial 112 Count 2 sec then End call (Call should not connect)
-Got to Settings Turn Airplane mode ON
-Wait till your Carrier logo (Underneath Notification/Location Services) disappears.
-Then Turn it back OFF, wait about 30sec-1min.
-You should get a SIM Failure Error, Fllowed by a NO SIM or NO service error (2 Errors, just press okay)
-Turn Airplane Mode back ON and then back OFF, after about 5 sec.
Let the device search for carrier and now you should be able to use ur phone.
