Viper ESC VTX10 w/ ProGauge

This is the first layer, once you open the package and remove the Foam and instructions.
The ESC is Tiny about the same size as the Tekin. This VTX10 (Not Pro version) in particular is smaller than the RS Pro.
but it is a little bit bigger than the RS. And as you can see it comes with a Programmer aka Progauge Multi Function unit.
I am glad with their choice of solder posts, no more solder origami needed like the Tekin.
No slits in the posts needed since the caps are attached differently, which means you dont have to jam wires into the slit.

Looks like quality check control or packing is done by hand and will be recorded and dated.
Viper Seems to have a decent quality check control before the unit goes out to the customers or vendors.

The second image is the Warning label included in all recently shipped out ESCs.
As you can see, there seems to be a confusion among people that are either illiterate or are just ignorant regarding the Manual.
Once they see 4 Cell lipo they seem to assume the ESC is able to handle the bigger 1/8 scale Buggy motors.
WHICH IS NOT THE CASE THE ESC is FOR 540 1/10 scale sized motors only !!!
Hence they changed the Lipo Capability to 3S, which renders the ESC useless for 1/8th scale usage.
As we know most 10th scale racing only uses 2S and some bashing uses 3S, so it is perfectly fine for us =D.

That is some cool looking shiat. Too bad about the 3s limit though. That esc would be great with a 1400kv 1512 buggy motor on 4s.

Hahaha thats the problem.
This is a 540 motor ESC not a Big can ESC.
They lowered the 4s to 3s to prevent people from trying to run 1/8 scale motors.
The ESC is still able to do 4s to my understanding they just don't accept damages made by 4S no more since most 4S powered vehicles are 1/8 motors.

They will come out with a 1/8th scale ESC for Nuttdrivers like you so y'all can molest it more before it breaks out in tears and coughs smoke. LMAO
